No complicated itinerary, no back-to-back transfers, just the ports, the ship, and the sea in between. This 7-night sailing from Vancouver on May 8, 2027 visits Tracy Arm Fjord, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay and Ketchikan. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Glaciers calving into the water, bald eagles overhead, and air that smells like pine. It's a different kind of cruise. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Glacier Bay, Where ice sculpts the silence. With about 8 hours at each port, you'll want a plan, or at least a shortlist. There are 12 restaurants on Koningsdam, so you'd need to double up a few evenings to try them all in 7 nights. Vancouver itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. Timing-wise, spring usually means comfortable temperatures and lower prices than peak season. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
