No complicated itinerary, no back-to-back transfers, just the ports, the ship, and the sea in between. This 7-night sailing from Vancouver on August 19, 2028 visits Tracy Arm Fjord, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay and Ketchikan. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. Skagway alone is worth the trip, Gold Rush spirit in a fjord-locked town. Roughly 8 hours per stop. More of a sampler than a deep dive. Koningsdam takes the food seriously, with 12 restaurants to choose from. 6 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. This length suits most people. Enough time to settle in and actually unwind, without the trip dragging on. The timing works well too: warm evenings on deck, late sunsets, and a lively atmosphere.
