About Norwegian Joy

Norwegian Joy was purpose-built in 2017 for the Chinese market, then overhauled and redeployed to North America in 2019 after a multimillion-dollar refit that adapted her for Western passengers. The makeover added 100 new staterooms, a District Brew House with 50 craft beers on tap, a redesigned food hall, and the fleet's only two-deck electric go-kart track that snakes around the exterior of the top decks. Joy's arrival in Alaska gave the state's flagship sailings a major upgrade, and her observation deck offers panoramic glacier views that nobody else matches.
