Icon of the Seas launched in January 2024 as the largest cruise ship in history at 250,800 GT, but size was really just the starting point. Eight neighbourhoods, including the new Chill Island and the adults-only Hideaway Beach, function as independent resort experiences so guests never have to repeat the same activity twice in a week. Category 6 waterpark broke every at-sea record for scale, and the AquaDome's underwater-inspired performance arena hosts shows that rival Broadway productions. Three solid years of sold-out sailings confirmed the appetite for bigger, bolder cruising isn't slowing down.
