Odyssey of the Seas launched in 2021 as the first Quantum Ultra built primarily for North America. The Ultra designation brought real upgrades over the original Quantum ships: a bigger SeaPlex, an expanded iFly, and the largest outdoor pool on any Quantum-class vessel, plus a dedicated solarium designed to retain warmth on cooler Caribbean itineraries. Born during the pandemic and initially deployed to Israel as a vaccination hub, Odyssey has one of the most unusual early histories of any Royal Caribbean ship.
