Arctic Retreat – Icy Strait & Juneau
About this cruise
You board in Vancouver on August 22, 2027 for 7 nights visiting Icy Strait Point, Hubbard Glacier, Juneau and Ketchikan, and you come back from this kind of trip wondering why you don't do it more often. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Glaciers calving into the water, bald eagles overhead, and air that smells like pine. It's a different kind of cruise. Don't rush through Ketchikan, which is known as Totem poles, rain, and wild salmon. With about 8 hours at each port, you'll want a plan, or at least a shortlist. There are 9 restaurants on Celebrity Summit, so you'd need to double up a few evenings to try them all in 7 nights. Vancouver itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. The timing works well too: warm evenings on deck, late sunsets, and a lively atmosphere. All told, 4 ports across 7 nights covers a lot.
