Clearwater Quest – Costa Maya, San Juan & Cozumel
About this cruise
Somewhere around day five the ship stops being transport and starts being home. This 14-night sailing from Miami on May 16, 2026 visits Puerto Plata (Amber Cove), San Juan, Ocean Cay, Roatan Island, Costa Maya and Cozumel. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. The Caribbean route takes in Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Honduras and Mexico, 5 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. Most ports give you about 11 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, MSC World America (2025) is one of the newer ships out there, with current design and recent tech throughout. 14 nights is long enough to build a routine on board: favourite restaurant, favourite deck chair, favourite people. It starts to feel like a floating village. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. A spring departure helps too: decent weather and a calmer feel at each port. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
