Coastal Grandeur – Paris, Bilbao & Rome
About this cruise
Somewhere around day five the ship stops being transport and starts being home. This 12-night sailing from Dover on August 30, 2026 visits Le Havre (Paris), Le Verdon-sur-Mer and Bilbao, with additional stops along the Western Mediterranean. You get off in Civitavecchia (Rome), which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. The ports come early and the voyage wraps with sea days. A good way to decompress before heading home. It's a proper Western Mediterranean tour: 4 countries, from France to Italy. Most ports give you about 10 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, From casual buffets to proper sit-down restaurants, Carnival Legend has 8 dining spots on board, most of them included. 12 nights is long enough to build a routine on board: favourite restaurant, favourite deck chair, favourite people. It starts to feel like a floating village. It's peak season, so the weather is at its best and the ship will be full. That's part of the fun. 12 nights of not thinking about anything except where to eat next. That's the pitch.
