Every port day is followed by a sea day, so you get time to sleep in, use the ship, and look forward to the next stop. The route threads through 3 countries along the Caribbean coast: Bahamas, Jamaica and Cayman Islands. Of the stops, Grand Cayman Island tends to be the one people talk about: Seven Mile Beach and stingray encounters. Roughly 8 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. There are 14 restaurants on Carnival Horizon, so you'd need to double up a few evenings to try them all in 6 nights. Miami itself is worth spending some time in.
