Glacial Carving – Juneau, Skagway & Ketchikan
About this cruise
If you want the classic cruise without a massive time commitment, this is a strong option. 9 nights from Vancouver on April 30, 2027, visiting Glacier Bay, Juneau, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord, Ketchikan and Seattle. You finish in Seattle. The first couple of days are at sea, which gives you time to settle in and get to know the ship before the ports begin. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. Most ports give you about 11 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, Star Princess (2025) is one of the newer ships out there, with current design and recent tech throughout. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Vancouver has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. A spring departure helps too: decent weather and a calmer feel at each port. You'll probably start planning the next one before this one's even over.
