Glacial Echoes – Skagway, Victoria & Ketchikan
About this cruise
No complicated itinerary, no back-to-back transfers, just the ports, the ship, and the sea in between. This 7-night sailing from Seattle on June 5, 2027 visits Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan and Victoria. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Glaciers calving into the water, bald eagles overhead, and air that smells like pine. It's a different kind of cruise. Of the stops, Glacier Bay tends to be the one people talk about: Where ice sculpts the silence. Around 8 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. There are 11 restaurants on Royal Princess, so you'd need to double up a few evenings to try them all in 7 nights. Seattle itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. The timing works well too: warm evenings on deck, late sunsets, and a lively atmosphere. Sometimes the best trips are the ones you just go ahead and book.
