Glorious Mediterranean – Barcelona & Rome
About this cruise
7 nights is that sweet spot where you actually start to relax. This sailing from Messina on January 12, 2027 visits Valletta, Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa and Civitavecchia (Rome) and doesn't try to cram in too much. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. It's a proper Western Mediterranean tour: 4 countries, from Malta to Italy. Keep an eye out for Marseille: France's oldest city, salty and soulful. Around 10 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. MSC World Asia (2026) is one of the newer ships out there, with current design and recent tech throughout. A January sailing is basically an excuse to chase the sun for a week or two. That's 7 nights well spent.
