If you want the classic cruise without a massive time commitment, this is a strong option. 7 nights from Los Angeles on March 28, 2027, visiting San Francisco, Santa Barbara CA, San Diego and Ensenada. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. Rugged coastline, sea fog rolling in, and cities that feel relaxed even when they're busy. Most ports give you about 11 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, There are 13 restaurants on Emerald Princess, so you'd need to double up a few evenings to try them all in 7 nights. A spring departure helps too: decent weather and a calmer feel at each port. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
