Historic Havens – Sicily & Barcelona
About this cruise
Long enough to properly switch off but not so long you need to reorganise your entire life. This 7-night round-trip sailing from Palermo on September 17, 2026 visits Valletta, Barcelona, Marseille, Livorno (Florence/Pisa) and Cagliari. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 5 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. 4 countries (Malta, Spain, France and Italy) across the Western Mediterranean, each with its own character. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Tuscan art and the Leaning Tower await. Roughly 9 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. You won't go hungry on MSC Splendida. 2 restaurants come with the fare, plus 4 more when you feel like treating yourself. And September is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
