Icy Expanse – Icy Strait & Juneau
About this cruise
Long enough to properly switch off but not so long you need to reorganise your entire life. This 7-night round-trip sailing from Vancouver on May 16, 2027 visits Icy Strait Point, Hubbard Glacier, Juneau and Ketchikan. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 4 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Glaciers calving into the water, bald eagles overhead, and air that smells like pine. It's a different kind of cruise. Keep an eye out for Ketchikan: Totem poles, rain, and wild salmon. With about 8 hours at each port, you'll want a plan, or at least a shortlist. There are 9 restaurants on Celebrity Summit, so you'd need to double up a few evenings to try them all in 7 nights. Vancouver itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. And May is a good time to go. Mild weather, things starting to bloom, and fewer people than summer. That's 7 nights well spent.
