Iguana & Rum Rush – Cozumel & Progreso
About this cruise
You leave Galveston on September 21, 2026 and come back 5 nights later with a tan and a few good stories. The route visits Cozumel and Progreso (Mérida). You start at sea, hit the ports, then finish at sea. The ports feel like the centrepiece, framed by lazy ocean days. Snorkelling, palm trees, rum. Each stop does it a bit differently. You get around 8 hours in each port, which is enough for an excursion, lunch, and some wandering around on your own. When you're not ashore, Carnival Breeze takes the food seriously, with 12 restaurants to choose from. 7 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Galveston has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. A September sailing dodges the peak crowds while the weather is still cooperating. Well timed. You'll probably start planning the next one before this one's even over.
