Island Odyssey – St. Lucia & Puerto Rico
About this cruise
You come back from a trip like this actually rested, not just "I went on vacation" rested. 11 nights from Philadelphia on November 27, 2027, visiting Puerto Plata (Amber Cove), San Juan, St. John's, Castries and Philipsburg. The sea days come first, which means no rushing to get off the ship on day one. You hit the ports relaxed and ready. The Caribbean route takes in Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Antigua & Barbuda, St. Lucia and Sint Maarten, 5 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. Don't rush through Castries, which is known as The Pitons' twin peaks on the horizon. Roughly 8 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Norwegian Pearl keeps you well fed. 14 places to eat, with 6 included in the fare and a few specialty spots if you're in the mood. The shows alone are worth the extra nights. You'll catch comedy, music, theatre, and themed evenings you'd miss on a shorter trip. If you've done the short cruises and want more, this is the upgrade. Longer, deeper, and more relaxed. If you can, add a night in Philadelphia before boarding. It's a good city to wander. And November is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. All told, 5 ports across 11 nights covers a lot.
