If you want the classic cruise without a massive time commitment, this is a strong option. 7 nights from Barcelona on January 15, 2027, visiting Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia (Rome), Messina and Valletta. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. It's a proper Western Mediterranean tour: 3 countries, from France to Malta. Most ports give you about 9 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, MSC World Asia (2026) is one of the newer ships out there, with current design and recent tech throughout. The timing adds to it: swapping cold weather for sunshine and sea air is the whole pitch for a winter cruise. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
