Panama Canal Passage – Puerto Vallarta & Cartagena
About this cruise
You won't run out of things to do on a trip this long, but you also won't feel like you have to do any of them. 17 nights from Los Angeles on October 1, 2026, visiting Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Quetzal and Puntarenas, with additional stops along the Caribbean. You wind up in Tampa, so it's worth planning a night or two there. The first couple of days are at sea, which gives you time to settle in and get to know the ship before the ports begin. 8 countries (Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Jamaica, Cayman Islands and United States) across the Caribbean, each with its own character. Most ports give you about 9 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, You won't go hungry on Celebrity Summit. 5 restaurants come with the fare, plus 4 more when you feel like treating yourself. 17 nights is long enough to build a routine on board: favourite restaurant, favourite deck chair, favourite people. It starts to feel like a floating village. Being shoulder season helps: golden light, comfortable weather, and shorter queues at the popular spots. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
