Panama Canal Passage – Puerto Vallarta & Cartagena
About this cruise
You come back from a trip like this actually rested, not just "I went on vacation" rested. 18 nights from Los Angeles on September 18, 2027, visiting Puerto Vallarta, Puerto Quetzal and Puntarenas, with additional stops along the Caribbean. You wind up in Boston, so it's worth planning a night or two there. The sea days come first, which means no rushing to get off the ship on day one. You hit the ports relaxed and ready. The Caribbean route takes in Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Turks & Caicos Islands and United States, 7 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. Boston stands out. It's Freedom Trail, clam chowder, and cobblestones. Roughly 9 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Celebrity Summit keeps you well fed. 9 places to eat, with 5 included in the fare and a few specialty spots if you're in the mood. The shows alone are worth the extra nights. You'll catch comedy, music, theatre, and themed evenings you'd miss on a shorter trip. If you've done the short cruises and want more, this is the upgrade. Longer, deeper, and more relaxed. If you can, add a night in Los Angeles before boarding. It's a good city to wander. And September is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. All in all, it's a solid trip.
