Somewhere around day five the ship stops being transport and starts being home. This 13-night sailing from Fort-de-France on April 22, 2028 visits Pointe-à-Pitre, Philipsburg, St. John's, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Barcelona. You wind up in Barcelona, so it's worth planning a night or two there. The ports come early and the voyage wraps with sea days. A good way to decompress before heading home. The Caribbean route takes in Guadeloupe, Sint Maarten, Antigua & Barbuda and Spain, 4 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. Most ports give you about 10 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, MSC World Asia (2026) is one of the newer ships out there, with current design and recent tech throughout. 13 nights is long enough to build a routine on board: favourite restaurant, favourite deck chair, favourite people. It starts to feel like a floating village. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. A spring departure helps too: decent weather and a calmer feel at each port. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
