Sapphire Sojourn – Malaga, Lisbon & Genoa
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 10-night sailing from Málaga on May 16, 2026 visits Cádiz, Lisbon and Alicante, with additional stops along the Western Mediterranean. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 7 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. It's a proper Western Mediterranean tour: 4 countries, from Spain to France. Port Mahon alone is worth the trip, Menorca's deep-water harbour of gin and Georgian charm. Roughly 9 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. From casual buffets to proper sit-down restaurants, MSC Opera has 4 dining spots on board, most of them included. The shows alone are worth the extra nights. You'll catch comedy, music, theatre, and themed evenings you'd miss on a shorter trip. And May is a good time to go. Mild weather, things starting to bloom, and fewer people than summer. Worth booking. That's the short version.
