Seaside Splendor – Riviera & Rome
About this cruise
Long enough to properly switch off but not so long you need to reorganise your entire life. This 7-night round-trip sailing from Marseille on September 3, 2026 visits Tarragona, Valencia, Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Civitavecchia (Rome) and Genoa. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 5 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Hot coastline, hilltop villages, and very good food. That's the Western Med in a sentence. Of the stops, Tarragona tends to be the one people talk about: Roman amphitheatre overlooking the Mediterranean. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. From casual buffets to proper sit-down restaurants, MSC Orchestra has 5 dining spots on board, most of them included. And September is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. Sometimes the best trips are the ones you just go ahead and book.
