Thundering Icefalls – Juneau, Skagway & Ketchikan
About this cruise
7 nights is that sweet spot where you actually start to relax. This sailing from Vancouver on August 11, 2026 visits Juneau, Skagway, Tracy Arm Fjord and Ketchikan and doesn't try to cram in too much. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Juneau, A capital only reachable by sea or sky. Around 9 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. Emerald Princess takes the food seriously, with 13 restaurants to choose from. 7 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. The timing works well too: warm evenings on deck, late sunsets, and a lively atmosphere. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
