About AIDAcosma

AIDAcosma is the second and last Helios class ship, built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, with her engine section built at Neptun Werft in Rostock, where her keel was laid on 15 October 2019. The COVID-19 pandemic pushed her delivery back to late 2021, she was handed over in Bremerhaven on 21 December 2021, and she began sailing with passengers on 26 February 2022 on a North Sea cruise from Hamburg. Kristina Vogel christened her in Hamburg on 9 April 2022. Like AIDAnova she can run fully on LNG and has the Studio X television studio, but she has no covered Four Elements area, with more open deck space and a bouldering wall instead. Her dining differs from her sister's: she has Ristorante Mamma Mia and the Beach House Restaurant, where AIDAnova has Ristorante Casa Nova, Best Pizza @ Sea and a vegan restaurant. Five buffets, six table service restaurants and three snack bars are included in the fare, while Rossini, the Churrascaria Steakhouse, Sushi House, Teppanyaki Asia Grill and Time Machine charge for food.
