About Westerdam

Westerdam is a Vista-class ship built by Fincantieri in Marghera, Italy, and entered Holland America Line service in 2004 alongside sister ships Oosterdam, Zuiderdam and Noordam. A dry dock in Singapore completed in January 2026 added Ocean View staterooms on decks one and seven, gave the Crow's Nest a bandstand stage for live music, and refreshed Canaletto and the Lido Market. Dining venues include the main Dining Room, the Lido Market buffet, the poolside Dive-In grill, Canaletto for Italian fare and the Pinnacle Grill steakhouse. The ship typically spends summer in Alaska, sailing round trip from Vancouver or between Vancouver and Whittier, and repositions to Asia for a Japan, Philippines and China season the rest of the year.
