Some of the best trips are the ones you barely had to plan. 4 nights from Kiel on October 27, 2027, visiting Copenhagen, Aarhus and Hamburg, and you're home before the laundry piles up. You get off in Hamburg, which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. You're in port almost every day, so pack shoes you can actually walk in. Art Nouveau buildings, good design, and more capital cities in a row than you'd think possible. Don't rush through Hamburg, which is known as Germany's gateway to the world on the Elbe. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Mein Schiff 7 joined the TUI Cruises's lineup in 2024. Still has that new-ship feel. Works well as a long weekend away, or a quick reset between bigger trips. If you can, add a night in Kiel before boarding. It's a good city to wander. And October is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. All told, 3 ports across 4 nights covers a lot.
