7 nights - Highlights of the Western Mediterranean - from/to Palma
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 7-night sailing from Palma de Mallorca on January 3, 2027 visits Barcelona, Marseille, La Spezia and Civitavecchia (Rome). In between port days, the 2 sea days are where cruise life actually happens: reading, eating, napping, repeat. The route threads through 3 countries along the Western Mediterranean coast: Spain, France and Italy. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Marseille, France's oldest city, salty and soulful. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. There are 11 restaurants on Mein Schiff 4, so you'd need to double up a few evenings to try them all in 7 nights. Palma de Mallorca itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. And a January cruise to warmer water? Hard to argue with that when it's cold at home. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
