Alaskan Glacier Quest – Ketchikan & Juneau
About this cruise
You come back from a trip like this actually rested, not just "I went on vacation" rested. 14 nights from Vancouver on August 7, 2027, visiting Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway, with additional stops along the Alaska. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 7 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. Icy Strait Point stands out. It's Wilderness at the edge of the Inside Passage. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Discovery Princess takes the food seriously, with 13 restaurants to choose from. 5 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. With more nights comes more time for the ship's rhythm to kick in: morning coffee in the same spot, evening shows, late-night conversations on deck. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. And August means long, warm days. Good for the ports, good for the pool. All in all, it's a solid trip.
