Ancient Wake – Corfu, Barcelona & Marseille
About this cruise
Every port gets the time it deserves and the sea days in between are half the fun. This 14-night sailing leaves Piraeus (Athens) on September 3, 2028 and visits Heraklion, Bar and Corfu, with additional stops along the Western Mediterranean. You finish in Civitavecchia (Rome). Expect a run of consecutive ports, 11 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. 5 countries (Greece, Montenegro, Italy, Spain and France) across the Western Mediterranean, each with its own character. La Spezia alone is worth the trip, Gateway to the pastel villages of Cinque Terre. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Sun Princess (2024) is one of the newer ships out there, with current design and recent tech throughout. With more nights comes more time for the ship's rhythm to kick in: morning coffee in the same spot, evening shows, late-night conversations on deck. And September is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. Worth booking. That's the short version.
