Antillean Currents – Virgin Gorda & Martinique
About this cruise
You come back from a trip like this actually rested, not just "I went on vacation" rested. 14 nights from La Romana on September 20, 2027, visiting Catalina Island, Virgin Gorda Island BVI and Philipsburg, with additional stops along the Caribbean. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 8 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Crossing 7 borders through the Caribbean: Dominican Republic, British Virgin Islands, Sint Maarten, Martinique, Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados and Guadeloupe. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. Keep an eye out for St. John's: Antigua's harbour of three hundred sixty-five beaches. Roughly 10 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. MSC Opera takes the food seriously, with 4 restaurants to choose from. 4 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. The shows alone are worth the extra nights. You'll catch comedy, music, theatre, and themed evenings you'd miss on a shorter trip. If you've done the short cruises and want more, this is the upgrade. Longer, deeper, and more relaxed. And September is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. That's 14 nights well spent.
