You won't run out of things to do on a trip this long, but you also won't feel like you have to do any of them. 20 nights from New York on April 19, 2026, visiting Halifax, Ponta Delgada and Lisbon, with additional stops along the Western Mediterranean. You finish in Naples. That gives you 10 days in port and 9 at sea, enough of each to find a rhythm. The route threads through 6 countries along the Western Mediterranean coast: Canada, Portugal, Spain, France, Tunisia and Italy. Most ports give you about 11 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, MSC Meraviglia has 9 restaurants on board, which means you could eat somewhere different nearly every night. By night three you start recognising faces; by night ten you're swapping numbers. That's the magic of a longer sailing. A spring departure helps too: decent weather and a calmer feel at each port.
