Aurora Quest – Icy Strait & Juneau
About this cruise
If you want the classic cruise without a massive time commitment, this is a strong option. 7 nights from Vancouver on September 5, 2027, visiting Icy Strait Point, Hubbard Glacier, Juneau and Ketchikan. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. Roughly 8 hours per stop. More of a sampler than a deep dive. As for the ship itself, Celebrity Summit takes the food seriously, with 9 restaurants to choose from. 5 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. The sweet spot for most travellers: you get to know the ship, see the ports, and come home before the laundry piles up. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Vancouver has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. Being shoulder season helps: golden light, comfortable weather, and shorter queues at the popular spots. You'll probably start planning the next one before this one's even over.
