Captivating Mediterranean – Barcelona & Rome
About this cruise
By February 23, 2027 you'll be ready for this. 7 nights out of Messina, visiting Valletta, Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa and Civitavecchia (Rome), and nothing on the agenda except showing up. The itinerary clusters several port calls together. Fast-paced for a few days, then the sea days hit and you can catch your breath. The Western Mediterranean route takes in Malta, Spain, France and Italy, 4 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. You get around 10 hours in each port, which is enough for an excursion, lunch, and some wandering around on your own. When you're not ashore, MSC World Asia joined the MSC Cruises's lineup in 2026. Still has that new-ship feel. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. While everyone else deals with the February cold, you'll be somewhere warmer. And floating. 7 nights of not thinking about anything except where to eat next. That's the pitch.
