Charming Mediterranean – Barcelona & Rome
About this cruise
If you want the classic cruise without a massive time commitment, this is a strong option. 7 nights from Messina on March 9, 2027, visiting Valletta, Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa and Civitavecchia (Rome). There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. 4 countries (Malta, Spain, France and Italy) across the Western Mediterranean, each with its own character. Most ports give you about 10 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, MSC World Asia (2026) is one of the newer ships out there, with current design and recent tech throughout. A spring departure helps too: decent weather and a calmer feel at each port. Good route, good ship, good timing. It all lines up.
