Cobblestone & Canvas – Marseille, Rome & Palma
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 7-night sailing from Barcelona on June 12, 2027 visits Marseille, Genoa, La Spezia, Civitavecchia (Rome) and Palma de Mallorca. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 5 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. The route threads through 3 countries along the Western Mediterranean coast: France, Italy and Spain. Don't rush through Genoa, which is known as Columbus' birthplace, a labyrinth of caruggi. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. There are 9 restaurants on MSC World Europa, so you'd need to double up a few evenings to try them all in 7 nights. Barcelona itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. And June means long, warm days. Good for the ports, good for the pool. All told, 5 ports across 7 nights covers a lot.
