Epic Horizons – Rome, Santorini & Istanbul
About this cruise
By July 22, 2026 you'll be ready for this. 9 nights out of Civitavecchia (Rome), visiting Salerno, Catania and Valletta, with additional stops along the Eastern Mediterranean, and nothing on the agenda except showing up. You get off in Istanbul, which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. The itinerary clusters several port calls together. Fast-paced for a few days, then the sea days hit and you can catch your breath. Crossing 4 borders through the Eastern Mediterranean: Italy, Malta, Greece and Türkiye. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. You get around 11 hours in each port, which is enough for an excursion, lunch, and some wandering around on your own. When you're not ashore, Norwegian Viva joined the Norwegian Cruise Line's lineup in 2023. Still has that new-ship feel. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Civitavecchia (Rome) has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. A July departure puts you in the best summer conditions: long days, warm nights, plenty of sun. 9 nights of not thinking about anything except where to eat next. That's the pitch.
