Gilded Tundra – Juneau, Skagway & Whittier
About this cruise
If you've got 14 nights to work with, this sailing from Vancouver on June 23, 2027 through Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Whittier and Hubbard Glacier is genuinely one of the better ways to spend them. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. You're essentially sailing through a nature documentary. Pack layers. Of the stops, Whittier tends to be the one people talk about: Alaska's hidden fjord portal. Around 11 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. You won't go hungry on Island Princess. 3 restaurants come with the fare, plus 3 more when you feel like treating yourself. The longer time on board means you'll catch several shows, themed nights, and start feeling like a regular at your favourite bar. The timing works well too: warm evenings on deck, late sunsets, and a lively atmosphere. Sometimes the best trips are the ones you just go ahead and book.
