Gilded Wake – Ephesus, Santorini & Athens
About this cruise
Every port gets the time it deserves and the sea days in between are half the fun. This 21-night sailing leaves Barcelona on April 25, 2026 and visits Palma de Mallorca, Marseille and Ajaccio, with additional stops along the Western Mediterranean. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 16 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. The route threads through 6 countries along the Western Mediterranean coast: Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Türkiye and Montenegro. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Naples, Chaos, pizza, and passion beneath Vesuvius. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Sun Princess (2024) is one of the newer ships out there, with current design and recent tech throughout. The shows alone are worth the extra nights. You'll catch comedy, music, theatre, and themed evenings you'd miss on a shorter trip. Barcelona itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. And April is a good time to go. Mild weather, things starting to bloom, and fewer people than summer. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
