Glacial Calving – Skagway & Victoria from Seattle
About this cruise
No complicated itinerary, no back-to-back transfers, just the ports, the ship, and the sea in between. This 7-night sailing from Seattle on August 12, 2027 visits Tracy Arm Fjord, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan and Victoria. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. Don't rush through Skagway, which is known as Gold Rush spirit in a fjord-locked town. Roughly 8 hours per stop. More of a sampler than a deep dive. Carnival Spirit takes the food seriously, with 9 restaurants to choose from. 6 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. This length suits most people. Enough time to settle in and actually unwind, without the trip dragging on. The timing works well too: warm evenings on deck, late sunsets, and a lively atmosphere. All told, 5 ports across 7 nights covers a lot.
