Sourdough Trail – Skagway & Juneau from Seattle
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 7-night sailing from Seattle on August 5, 2027 visits Tracy Arm Fjord, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan and Victoria. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 5 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. The wildlife alone makes it worth it: whales, bears, eagles, sea otters. Bring binoculars. Don't rush through Skagway, which is known as Gold Rush spirit in a fjord-locked town. Port time is tight at about 8 hours each. Pick your favourites and save the rest for another trip. Carnival Spirit keeps you well fed. 9 places to eat, with 6 included in the fare and a few specialty spots if you're in the mood. Long enough that you stop checking your phone. Short enough that you're not bored. If you can, add a night in Seattle before boarding. It's a good city to wander. And August means long, warm days. Good for the ports, good for the pool. All told, 5 ports across 7 nights covers a lot.
