16 nights starts to feel like a proper adventure. You leave Los Angeles on September 18, 2027 and the route takes you through Juneau, Skagway and Glacier Bay, with additional stops along the Alaska at a pace where there's never any need to rush. You ease into this one, with a few sea days up front to find your rhythm before the 7 port calls start. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. Victoria alone is worth the trip, English gardens on Canada's Pacific coast. Around 10 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. Emerald Princess takes the food seriously, with 13 restaurants to choose from. 7 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. There are enough performances, events, and social mixers on a cruise this length that you couldn't do them all if you tried. And that's a good problem. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. The autumn timing is underrated too. Good weather, calmer seas, and a more relaxed ship.
