Glass Water & Calving Ice – Glacier Bay & Whittier
About this cruise
You come back from a trip like this actually rested, not just "I went on vacation" rested. 14 nights from Vancouver on July 22, 2026, visiting Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Whittier and Hubbard Glacier. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 6 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. Glacier Bay stands out. It's Where ice sculpts the silence. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Island Princess takes the food seriously, with 6 restaurants to choose from. 3 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. The shows alone are worth the extra nights. You'll catch comedy, music, theatre, and themed evenings you'd miss on a shorter trip. If you've done the short cruises and want more, this is the upgrade. Longer, deeper, and more relaxed. And July means long, warm days. Good for the ports, good for the pool. All in all, it's a solid trip.
