Golden Sands Expedition – Barbados & St. Maarten
About this cruise
14 nights starts to feel like a proper adventure. You leave Bridgetown on April 29, 2027 and the route takes you through Fort-de-France, Pointe-à-Pitre and Tortola, with additional stops along the Caribbean at a pace where there's never any need to rush. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. 6 countries (Martinique, Guadeloupe, British Virgin Islands, Dominican Republic, Sint Maarten and Antigua & Barbuda) across the Caribbean, each with its own character. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Tortola, BVI's mountainous sailing paradise. Around 11 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. You won't go hungry on MSC Opera. 4 restaurants come with the fare, plus 0 more when you feel like treating yourself. The longer time on board means you'll catch several shows, themed nights, and start feeling like a regular at your favourite bar. Timing-wise, spring usually means comfortable temperatures and lower prices than peak season. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
