Golden Shores – Rome, Sicily & Dubrovnik
About this cruise
10 nights, 7 ports, all from Civitavecchia (Rome) on July 17, 2026. The route visits Messina, Dubrovnik and Split, with additional stops along the Eastern Mediterranean and the whole thing just flows. The itinerary clusters several port calls together. Fast-paced for a few days, then the sea days hit and you can catch your breath. Crossing 4 borders through the Eastern Mediterranean: Italy, Croatia, Montenegro and Greece. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. You get around 11 hours in each port, which is enough for an excursion, lunch, and some wandering around on your own. When you're not ashore, Celebrity Ascent launched in 2023, so everything on board is still new. You can tell. Longer sailings have a different energy. People relax into it, stop rushing, and start actually talking to each other. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Civitavecchia (Rome) has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. A July departure puts you in the best summer conditions: long days, warm nights, plenty of sun. You'll probably start planning the next one before this one's even over.
