You won't run out of things to do on a trip this long, but you also won't feel like you have to do any of them. 14 nights from San Juan on March 5, 2028, visiting Tortola, Basseterre and Roseau, with additional stops along the Caribbean. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. Crossing 9 borders through the Caribbean: British Virgin Islands, St. Kitts & Nevis, Dominica, Grenada, Barbados, U.S. Virgin Islands, Sint Maarten, Antigua & Barbuda and St. Lucia. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. Most ports give you about 10 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, Emerald Princess takes the food seriously, with 13 restaurants to choose from. 7 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. 14 nights is long enough to build a routine on board: favourite restaurant, favourite deck chair, favourite people. It starts to feel like a floating village. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. Pro tip: fly in the day before. San Juan has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. A spring departure helps too: decent weather and a calmer feel at each port. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
