Mariner’s Ledger – San Juan, Cozumel & Puerto Plata
About this cruise
Somewhere around day five the ship stops being transport and starts being home. This 14-night sailing from Miami on October 23, 2027 visits Roatan Island, Costa Maya, Cozumel, Ocean Cay, Puerto Plata (Amber Cove) and San Juan. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. 5 countries (Honduras, Mexico, Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico) across the Caribbean, each with its own character. Most ports give you about 10 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, MSC World America (2025) is one of the newer ships out there, with current design and recent tech throughout. By night three you start recognising faces; by night ten you're swapping numbers. That's the magic of a longer sailing. Being shoulder season helps: golden light, comfortable weather, and shorter queues at the popular spots. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
