Mediterranean Grandeur – Rome, Naples & Barcelona
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 9-night sailing from Civitavecchia (Rome) on October 26, 2027 visits Naples, La Spezia, Portofino, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona. Disembarkation is in Barcelona. Every port day is followed by a sea day, so you get time to sleep in, use the ship, and look forward to the next stop. The Western Mediterranean route takes in Italy, France and Spain, 3 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Palma de Mallorca, A Gothic cathedral mirrored in the harbour. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Celebrity Equinox keeps you well fed. 10 places to eat, with 5 included in the fare and a few specialty spots if you're in the mood. Long enough that you stop checking your phone. Short enough that you're not bored. If you can, add a night in Civitavecchia (Rome) before boarding. It's a good city to wander. And October is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
