Mediterranean Magic – Barcelona & Santorini
About this cruise
Long enough to properly switch off but not so long you need to reorganise your entire life. This 7-night round-trip sailing from Valletta on August 14, 2026 visits Barcelona, Marseille, Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Cagliari and Palermo. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 5 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Crossing 3 borders through the Western Mediterranean: Spain, France and Italy. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. Don't rush through Cagliari, which is known as Sardinia's sun-bleached capital of flamingos and fortresses. Roughly 9 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. MSC Splendida takes the food seriously, with 6 restaurants to choose from. 2 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. And August means long, warm days. Good for the ports, good for the pool. All told, 5 ports across 7 nights covers a lot.
