Mediterranean Magic – Marseille, Rome & Ibiza
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 7-night sailing from Barcelona on September 10, 2026 visits Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia (Rome), Palermo and Ibiza. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 5 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. The Western Mediterranean route takes in France, Italy and Spain, 3 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. Genoa stands out. It's Columbus' birthplace, a labyrinth of caruggi. Roughly 10 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. MSC Seaview keeps you well fed. 6 places to eat, with 2 included in the fare and a few specialty spots if you're in the mood. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. If you can, add a night in Barcelona before boarding. It's a good city to wander. And September is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. All in all, it's a solid trip.
